plans have just been announced to redevelop london’s famous battersea power station.
the power station has not been in use for over 25 years and will again be brought be back to life,
using sustainable energy. architect rafael vinoly’s design consists of a 300m high chimney and
it will reduce carbon emissions. existing areas of the historic building will be restored and open
to the public. it will also include a hotel as well as residential and retail accommodation.
the project is expected to cost .8 billion US dollars.
