jo nagasaka of schemata architects has recently completed the new retail space for japanese brand cabane de zucca. located in daikanyama, the interiors display a continuing theme as their other shop located within the sibura parco department store.  presented as a simple glass façade set back from the street, the internal arrangement fully on display to passers-by. instilling a more welcoming entrance, a gallery space has been created for use of exhibiting collaborations.

as a retail space, the interiors display a clear industrial palette, with the walls, floors and ceiling using varying concrete textures. the core area focused for product display is highlighted by a chromate treated steel frame, where a selection of pieces have been hung from the frame itself or placed on shelves also connected to the structure. another element featured within the cabane de zucca store is the use of concrete and formwork display furniture. seen mainly lining one side of the walls, the material combination has been utilized to create a male and female combination- relating back to the brand’s fashion collection.
