the retreat recalls the architecture of the area offering a uniquely contemporary approach to the basic principles that governed vernacular design. the overall concept is centered around a pool that marks itself among the terrain, with the site’s inclined land accommodating the shelter itself below the cantilevered pool volume. the interior is composed of a living room / kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom, with an elementary program organized around an interior courtyard that provides lighting and ventilation to all rooms.
