plans have been unveiled for CasiCielo, a resort community in panama designed to catalyze global entrepreneurship, creativity, and change. set on an undeveloped peninsula in the archipelago of bocas del toro, surrounded by the caribbean sea and the 45,000-acre protected san san-pond sak natural reserve, CasiCielo is deepening panama’s growing appeal as an eco-tourism and adventure destination.

for developer circular strategy group, comprised of moshe levi and alfredo monagas, CasiCielo is more than 12 years in the making. in 2008, the team commissioned mario lazo of unidad diseño, a master planning firm focused on minimal environmental impact, WATG for its multidisciplinary approach to development, and XCO2, specializing in low-carbon environmental footprint design.

‘being from panama, I felt this was a golden opportunity, not only to preserve bocas and make positive impact in the region, but also introduce a new way for conscious communities to be built,’ says moshe levi, co-developer of CasiCielo. ‘with the infrastructure already in place, CasiCielo essentially serves as a blank canvas that will continue to evolve, while remaining a true haven for those seeking a different way of life.’

a curated grid of 75 turn-key sites launches in 2021 with viceroy hotel & residences, featuring a 118-key hotel and 77 branded residences designed by zurcher arquitectos, wimberly interiors, and an elaborate wellness concept by GOCO hospitality. the coastal town of bocas is known for its relaxed atmosphere, featuring an eclectic mix of cultures, turquoise waters with world-class surfing, vibrant nightlife and jungles.
