sogardsskolen is a school for children with learning disabilities in gentofte, denmark by the danish architecture firm CEBRA. the school is composed of a collection of villas that was designed to mimic the houses in the surrounding neighbourhood. the groups of small houses are kept very simple with white cladding with touches of bright green accents. the buildings are all covered in square windows in a variety of sizes giving the facades a pixilated-like appearance. the interiors are brightly lit through the deep windows and also kept mostly white. there are a number of small outdoor spaces and a few balconies. the clumps of buildings play with the conventions of the standard home form, shrinking and expanding the form in all directions.
