located at the bulgarian seaside, nima design introduces ‘house tarfa’, a small and simple summer family retreat, blending wood and concrete within the extended landscape. the architects sought to integrate the dwelling into the secluded area,  considering the view that opens towards the sea. at the same time, the sense of privacy was the key element for the interior.concrete + wooden family retreat by nima design integrates within bulgarian seasideall images courtesy of studio blenda, unless stated otherwise.

‘house tarfa’ by nima design is situated in close proximity to the sea, in a remote, newly built area, taking optimal advantage of the site’s qualities. as the project’s main materials, the combination of wood and concrete integrates into the landscape, providing the impression of being part of the sun-burned area’s yellow grass. meanwhile, the residence is meant to function as an intimate ‘shelter,’ supplying the inhabitants with the feel of security and coziness.concrete + wooden family retreat by nima design integrates within bulgarian seaside

the design adds an extended view towards the sea, preserving the interior’s privacy at the same time. on the ground floor are set three large bedrooms, hidden from the neighbor’s view by the grey wooden fence. large floor-to-ceiling sliding windows look towards the courtyard with a small outdoor swimming pool. in addition, two of the bedrooms provide private en-suite bathrooms, while the third one uses a bathroom reachable from the corridor. outer and inner stairs lead the user to the second level, featuring the living room, dining area, and kitchen.concrete + wooden family retreat by nima design integrates within bulgarian seasideconcrete + wooden family retreat by nima design integrates within bulgarian seasideconcrete + wooden summer house by nima design integrates within bulgarian seasideconcrete + wooden summer house by nima design integrates within bulgarian seaside
