‘jardín 58’ is a residential project located in mexico city’s san angel neighborhood, south west of the city center. designed by local practice DCPP, the shape of the house takes advantage of the plot’s dimensions, maximizing available living space. this is achieved by articulating a series of outdoor areas around a central garden, encouraging external living.

all of the dwelling’s necessary amenities are found at ground floor level, including the home’s master bedroom. above, the upper storey contains exclusively guest facilities. with the intention of merging interior with exterior, the design splits the garden in two, extending its visual continuity. to avoid the use of internal columns, large steel beams have been integrated within the design, establishing an incinerate play of light and shadow.
