designboom contemporary: tino schaedler

in our latest contemporary article designboom asked tino schaedler about his transition from architect to digital set designer and the blurring boundaries between.

‘the advance in digital technology has created opportunities to bridge between the fields due to use of similar software. adobe photoshop, flash, after affects or 3Dmax are all used in various disciplines. ten years ago it was very hard, for architects to make their own films. now, with the help of a computer and the right software it is easy to straight jump into it and to explore any medium. It is fantastic and in a way makes all creative fields more democratically accessible.’ – tino schaedler

tino’s credits include: tim burton‘s `charlie and the chocolate factory‘ the wachowski brothers `v for vendetta‘ and recently `harry potter and the order of the phoenix‘
