DEVOLUTION designs minimal smart apartment for germaphobe client in china

DEVOLUTION paid great attention to shaping a minimal, clean interior, using lacquering panels and white artificial stone (seamless) as the main material for a smooth, modern look. out of the original layout of the four-room apartment, two bedrooms were preserved according to BBC’s needs and the rest of the spaces were merged into an open, L-shaped living room with an open view towards the seascape. about 78m² was kept for cabinet storage space in order to keep household items, personal collections, and sundries. the spacious, neat environment can be easily and quickly cleaned and tidied up, giving the owner the opportunity to relax and find comfort in his house. this design may seem too plain for some, but it is, in fact, the very design the house resident wants, ultimately shaped by his character and habits. 

in response to the owner’s passion for technology, the all-white apartment has been designed to include an intelligent control system. all the devices and functions, including lights, curtains, air conditioners, heaters, ventilation, and elevator calling, can be controlled by a touch screen panel, as well as by phone. these technology features have been especially helpful for BBC, who works from home where he feels the safest. ‘I don’t want to go to other places to suffer. I have now set my home as my base and connected in all my other terminals through the network so I can remotely control them.’ he shares.
