with ecotourism on the growth, portugal-based initiative ’ecocubo’ is the perfect solution for those looking to have experiences that bring them closer to nature, promoting genuine contact escapades. built from wood and cork, the micro-house is ecological, functionally flexible, sustainable, and easy to assemble. its adaptable characteristics allows it to be able to accommodate to different types of usages and locations, with the possibility to function independently of the public network through the effective use of the natural resources.

in order to tell the story of this 9 sqm space, ecocubo asked building pictures to create a video inviting people to spend a morning with nature. the film intends to reflect how the space can transform and accommodate different functions like sleeping, cooking, bathing and hosting friends. the story is told in such a way that it first shows how the usage of ecological materials creates a strong connection with nature, generating a strong relationship with the surroundings. it then continues with the transformative aspects of the small space and how it can adapt to the different needs of the users.

after showing the flexibility of the space and how it adjust to sleeping conditions, the videos ends with images of the making-of ‘ecocubo’, showing the ease and lightness of its construction. the project aims to create a positive impact on the environment, as well as generating community solutions based on local activities and economies.
