we have just received a beautiful book on the work of edouard francois. in the next few days we will publish a review on it. in the meantime here is one of his projects that is featured – the ‘new club med’ resort, senegal. the new club med resort in senegal is comprised of suites designed in the shape of peanuts. elevated with wooden poles each structure is wrapped and woven using straw and wood, imitating the skin texture of a peanut.
