tokyo-based french architect, emmanuelle moureaux architecture + design brings nature’s lively color palette indoors, playfully accenting ‘zoff’ optical at mitsui outlet park iruma, japan. the display elements are reminiscent of panoramic photographs simplified to a singular hue as if zoomed in on flashes of sky blue, grass green, pink tulips, and neon lights. the irregular rhythm of shelving and its horizontal orientation draws the eye back to the cashier counter, where the composition’s full spectrum is realized and unified. based on the module of 800mm x 160mm, color panels and floor-mounted blocks can be re-arranged according to the change of season and eyewear styles.
