‘mint’ by japanese architects epitaph is a renovation project of a 35 year old house. the single storey house’s structure has been built with a light gauge steel. the architects created a bigger space by exposing the truss of the ceiling by removing a partition wall. the area became one big room, where the finished materials define each space according to the layout. however, neither the structure nor the windows have been changed.the toilet, bathroom and hall are each separated by walls. all other spaces are connected, with the bedroom able to be partitioned with the sliding door.
