led by héctor esrawe, mexico-based esrawe studio has completed casa sierra fría, it’s first residence project in mexico city. the residence, which has a horseshoe layout, stands as a monolithic structure with a continuous brick façade that contributes to the introspective character of the concept. the request was for an intimate space for a four-person family which provided privacy and promoted encounter and interaction.

composed of a series of monolithic volumes, casa sierra fría by esrawe studio has the main opening directed towards the right-hand side, both provoking and accentuating the house being sealed off from the outside. as users trespass the brick skin, the continuously flowing space is revealed surrounding the garden which is the heart of the design and the element that brings everything together.
