everlane sets headquarters in light-filled former laundry facility in san francisco

straying away from the typical office space of cubicles and conference rooms, the showroom and headquarters of online fashion retailer everlane is created as a transparent, light-filled environment in san francisco. set in a 8,000 square feet former 1920’s laundry facility, the interiors were completed in-house and in collaboration with LA-based design duo BROOK&LYN.

the space is wrapped in large steel frame windows

large windows wrap the entire space, permeating the open-plan interiors with natural light. despite being painted white, the industrial elements of the existing building remains, but has provided a clean backdrop for the introduction of pastel and muted colors seen in the furniture and decoration.

the showroom is a focus within everlane’s HQ

an area has been dedicated to serve as a multi-functional showroom which sits as a focus. the set up is highlighted by a perimeter of smoked glass panels to evoke the concept of radical transparency, while creating a subtle division between the office and showroom. additionally, a configurable fitting room appears as two large panels of fabric when closed.

the interiors feature a mix of custom-designed pieces and sourced furnishings

plants add a splash of green to the office program which is organized with four rows of long tables. the dedicated work space continues to instill the theme of transparency and creativity. overall, the scheme fosters a harmonious balance of color and material to convey a seamless connection between office and showroom which inherently reflects everlane’s growing brand and fashion aesthetics.
