developed for DJI, a major chinese technology company, foster + partners’ design is currently under construction in shenzhen. the buildings’ floors are arranged in floating volumes cantilevered from central cores by large steel megatrusses. this creates large, column-free spaces including quadruple-height drone flight testing labs. meanwhile, a public exhibition gallery is found at ground level, alongside a theater for product launches.
