named ‘konsolos’ which translates from turkish to ‘consulate’, the recently opened distinctive restaurant is based in istanbul and has been created by the team at geoID. the establishment is sited next to the city’s soho house and set within an ex-american consulate building.

the interiors blend features of a french bistro, with touches of an art museum along with details of a classic english manor. altogether, this culmination of styles  instill an exclusive and opulent atmosphere, finished by the use of dark wood and marble. dimly illuminated, an added detail featuring throughout is the dark mahogany paneled walls and mirrored surfaces, each framed with LED lights and highlighting portraits of animals in costume- giving the restaurant an eclectic edge while adding depth and balance.
