the scheme amalgamates the school’s various programs, incorporating performance space, exploratory teaching facilities and contemplative research areas. the result is a three-dimensional matrix of interacting volumes. an open edge to the building blurs the site’s boundaries, presenting a colonnaded area to the adjacent street. cascading terraces and gardens drawing the landscaped civic space inside the structure.
