beefbar has opened a new location in hong kong’s central district. following the same concept of its sister branches in monaco and mexico, the elegant interior aesthetic reminiscent of gentlemen’s and wine tasting clubs was realised by monaco-based studio humbert & poyet and decorated with stellar works furniture.

led by architects emil humbert and christophe poyet, the firm chose a culmination of raw and luxurious materials including black wood panels, leather fittings, marble and burnished bronze. this complemented with furnishings by stellar works; specifically the highback chair from the utility collection designed by neri & hu. the combination of details sets the scene for an intimate atmosphere.

in addition, the openwork ceiling is made up of dyed wood panels that alternate to create depth and add rhythm to the overall space. an element in which boldly grabs the attention of the new eatery is the scarlet colored wall. this marks the boundary between the private and social space. the nuances of warm colors combine with raw features craft a masculine and contemporary setting.
