live talk: power of place

Architecture and design enthusiasts, mark your calendars for a live panel discussion on May 20th, 2024, during NYCxDesign 2024. From an NYC rooftop overlooking the iconic Chrysler building and Fifth Avenue below, architect Pascale Sablan, artist Roy Nachum, and audio designer Christian Schluender will discuss the ‘Power of Place’ followed by a live DJ set and cocktail party.

The talk will be moderated by designboom senior editor Kat Barandy, and hosted by iF Design, host of the prestigious international design award which just last year opened its first US office in New York City. Among New York Design Week’s packed schedule of exhibitions and installation openings (see designboom’s event guide here), this talk is a must-attend for those interested in how design shapes our experience of the world. ‘Power of Place’ will be held at the NYC headquarters of design agency HARMAN / Huemen. While invitations are required to attend the talk in-person, viewers are invited to tune in to watch the live-stream through this article or on Facebook (here).
