located in bezau, austria, innauer matt architekten used varieties of wood –spruce, fir, oak– on the surfaces throughout the pavilion. the different characteristics of the wood divide the exhibition space inside into the different presentation areas. the raw, untreated natural wood creates a relaxed atmosphere, showcasing the positive effects of this construction material at its best.

the solid wood structures of walls and ceilings are represented proportionally and can be seen in close-up. a playful nature is conveyed through the circular doors and windows; an invitation to visitors to take a closer look. the protruding wooden dowels in the cut-out openings demonstrate the stiction-based construction. moreover, the wall, ceiling and floor connections can be seen true to scale.  the combination of construction, craftsmanship and architecture has proved to be a tangible tool for marketing. as well as being used at fairs and exhibitions, the pavilion can be transported and be used for festive events.
