as progress on the UK’s much anticipated crossrail hits the 60% complete mark, the project has revealed new images of the underground tunneling construction, taking the viewer deep within one of the largest infrastructure investments undertaken in the UK. the photos document a few of the 10,000 people who are working directly on crossrail, indicating the scale at which the 42 kilometers of subterranean space is being occupied and built within. approximately 40 different construction sites comprise the current capacity and after 5 years of work, nearly 90% of train tunnels are now complete.
