infinity nide elevates the traditional character of the typical sidewalk diner with a contemporary approach at ‘hi, miss rong’, a hot pot snack diner in guangzhou, china. located in an old residential building, the interior features white concrete and colored electroplated stainless steel that result in a modern aesthetic.

the architects aimed at diversifying the diner from the typical narrow, street food business model by creating a distinct brand identity, using only two materials for the 140 m2 space. concrete tiles in the shape of five letters decorate the main wall where n, h, r, x and j symbolize the initial letters of the diner’s name in pinyin. stainless steel walls divide the space into three dining areas of different atmospheres, while in combination with the lights and the wide window along the street façade they create a bright, iridescent interior.
