‘archi-fiore’ by korean firm IROJE KHM architects is a lot of things, simple isn’t one of them. complex from bottom to top, the sculptural form combines a coffee shop, full-service restaurant, office space, and atop everything, a single family home. dynamic stairways allow movement through the building, and each function is able to remain totally independent of one another.

the form shares its surroundings with a massive, stadium-like gymnasium. IROJE KHM thus gave ‘archi-fiore’ a distinctive ‘negative’ shape, that directly opposes the circular structure. it was the want of the architect to create an instantly recognizable landmark in the building’s location in cheoin-gu, yongin-si, gyeonggi, seoul, korea.
