the US department of state has selected studio gang for the design of the new united states embassy compound in brasilia, brazil. the multi-building campus will be located on the chancery complex in the city’s diplomatic sector, near the seat of the brazilian government. the project will rebuild the existing compound and provide facilities for the embassy community. ‘studio gang architects was selected from a very talented shortlist of six architecture/engineering teams that had advanced to the final round of presentations and interviews,’ explained the bureau of overseas buildings operations in a statement. ‘studio gang presented a strong and cohesive team approach with more than 20 years of collaborative experience executing projects with complex constraints at challenging sites.’
