architecture and construction firm JSa have converted a dilapidated two-storey house into the ‘PDC offices’, in mexico city. the layout is arranged around a double height atrium at the center, with two work areas flanking to the front and rear. the ground floor circulation cuts directly from the main entry to the back patio. the corridor is distinguished by its wood finish, while either threshold is treated in corten steel. in the back, an extended door frame protrudes into the the private patio, which features vegetation for shading and provides an outdoor space for employees to relax.
