located on a once popular shopping street in downtown tokyo, masahiro kinoshita of japanese practice KINO architects has built a four storey structure that contains a number of different programs. the building’s façade is characterized by its varied fenestration, with carefully positioned apertures oriented to frame specific viewpoints. the ground floor of ‘KURO building’ serves as a noodle shop – with permanent living positioned above – while the upper two levels house rental accommodation.
