ALL SH is an urban retailer for casual clothing and sneakers. their storefront is located in shanghai’s former french concession; a concrete shell on a tree lined street. local design studio linehouse was asked to create the interior. like other of the studio’s works, ‘ALL SH’s’ design is defined by a minimalist approach that strips down the unnecessary and leaves only the raw.

angular glass façade and concrete bench
once the internals were gutted to bare concrete, linehouse inserted a series of white, super thin vertical planes. they’re angled throughout the space, making layers of product easily visible to possible shoppers before they even open the door. the angular elements continue as stainless steep strips both on the floor and ceiling, which extend to the walls and eventually become mechanisms of display.

display at night
in the space between the thin panels are sections of mirror that reflect the rough shell and emphasize the displays’ thinness. the last, and largest division takes on the role of changing room; however the backs of all are capable of use as storage spaces. a highly reflective countertop continues the trend of surface quality. ‘ALL SH’s’ minimal palette of mirrors, white metal, and stainless steel provide a strong contrast between the rawness of the building’s construction, and make the 20m2 interior seem much larger than it actually is.
