livit's 'studypod' cabin is a detached home office you can place in your backyard

design studio livit has created ‘studypod’, a detached office cabin that allows users to isolate and work close to nature without leaving their houses. known for the ‘birdbox’ adventure cabin (previous coverage here), livit is now expanding its product line with a design that addresses the increasing number of people working from home since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. the tiny ‘studypod’ comes with a zen, minimalist form and a detachable desk.

with ‘studypod’, livit has come up with a ‘work from home solution’ that brings users close to nature and helps them avoid distractions. the cabin is delivered key ready, with or without a detachable desk, so it can be used for other purposes like a yoga room, annex or hobbies. its internal dimensions are a little over 2 x 1.8 meters, so one can even fit a king size bed inside, turning it into a special guest room or hangout for the kids.

the cabin’s zen, minimalist design comes with a large black tint glass at the front that feels like working outside while being sheltered. ‘our goal at livit is to create amazing experiences for people, and the studypod is something we think can truly add value to people’s everyday lives, by giving them breathing space without distractions, where they can focus and get close to nature,’ says designer torstein aa.
