LUMICENE presents its latest cabin installation — a high-end sauna, nestled in the idyllic Danish woodlands. The wooden LumiPod Sauna is the newest member of the French company’s LUMIPOD family, taking shape as a rounded prefabricated structure with a minimalist form that seamlessly immerses into its natural context. Now, the sauna cabin sits among architect Bruno Jakobsen’s Nordic Barnhouse Project, providing its occupants an exceptional wellbeing experience while they retreat and reconnect with nature.

LUMICENE’S new LumiPod Sauna cabin, like the rest of its modular family designed for hotel and well-being projects, takes shape as a rounded wooden structure that integrates harmoniously into the natural landscape. With a narrow cylindrical form, the sauna is built around a curved glass, offering a unique inside-out feeling. The curved exterior wall takes form as an alder wood frame clad with red cedar, that melds discreetly with its surrounding natural context, and the sleek architecture of Bruno Jakobsen’s Nordic Barnhouse Project.
Inside, the sauna features two benches which can accommodate two to four adults at a time. Each unit comes equipped with a high quality 8 kW electric stove and bespoke accessories developed by Nordic sauna specialists Tylö. The French designers also integrate a rooftop terrace with a unique 360° observation deck, allowing visitors a peaceful connection with nature in between sauna sessions and an authentic, immersive spa experience. Further, prefabricated in a workshop in France, the LumiPod cabin can be easily be transported across Europe and ad installed within just a few hours.
