someone has been watching to many cgi fantasy flicks. A laughably bad set piece.
Oh my! Blade Runner meets Ghostbusters. Well, well, well. I can’t wait to see it. And by the way, what does the bloody thing cost.
Good luck with that wind load there buddy!
What I might term videogame-styled excess. I can just imagine high winds catching those winged sections and sending them flying down to annihilate people on the street. And, of course, we’ll watch that happen live from attached GoPro cameras.
gage always trying so hard to draw attention but unfortunately to such horrible work!
Hey, you could start a brand new architectural movement with this stuff.
A true Venturi “decorated shed”,
respect.
Great building that could be used for a Ghost Busters sequel. I can see it now as the giant birds on the buildings facade come alive and attack the citizens of NYC below
Some will call it a monstrosity but I find myself absolutely loving it. 🙂
It’s perfect! what are they waiting for?
Now that’s a TOWER! Wish more developers follow. Can the Donald be far behind?
oh!
This is a soul-less westernized version of the Organic Architecture pioneered by architect Imre Makovecz (1935-2011)…but still looks very cool compared to the rest of Manhattan’s late contemporary architecture.
Finally a very difficult creative sculptural statement. Reminds me of the visual interest of a contemporary art nouveau.
Straight out of Batman! Gorgeously theatrical but hardly serious architecture.
Super! At least something far from copycats_
Very, very original. I just wonder the nightmare to clean that thing…
living in a totem pole. i think it is pretty fantastic.
For those of you complaining about wind loads on the building structure, should point out that in the video (0:13 -0:18 sec) there are what appears to be jet engines for corrective thrust vectoring if you haven’t noticed … problem solved.
Jokes aside there are some intersecting ideas here.
