When Mr Traves says that “nobody in Brighton actually wants it” he is certainly not speaking on my behalf. I’m a Brightonian and massively in favour of the i360. I won’t attempt to speak for other residents but I know far more locals who are excited by this project than cynics. Brighton is a city that needs to update its landmarks and attractions to keep it relevant and support its massive visitor revenue. And this project will certainly help to regenerate our biggest asset which is the seafront.
Its an i sore and nobody in Brighton actually wants it, another project forced through by the green party without consultation to the residents. The Brighton wheel barely moves as nobody is interested at looking at lots of sea or a rundown shopping street the other side, residents will be paying for this for generations to come as the project didn’t get enough funding so the rest is loaned by the government. the total cost is more likely 46 million. its like the millenium dome all over again
