the experimental project, brought forth by crasset and the inhabitants and volunteers of the villages, looks to create a place within the forest where the visitor can dually experience and understand the nature and environment.

designed to work with sustainable development in mind, the module structures made from acacia wood, douglas pine and galvanized steel, are foundation free allowing them to be placed in the forest without greatly harming nature or upsetting the ecosystem. four variations of the simple form – ‘chrysalide’, ‘brocard’, ‘champignon’ and ‘nichoir’ – offer transient inhabitants rudimentary comforts in a dwelling that fully intertwines indoor and outdoor spaces.
