paris-based interior designer michael malapert has completed ‘l’appartement saint-martin’ – a cafe and bar in the city’s trendy st. denis district. raw materials combined with a large floral ceiling mural, provide a hip backdrop accented by black wood, warm lighting, and rugged brickwork. in the summer months, large windows open to establish an intimate connection between the bar’s interior and terrace area.
