although naturally small in size, the MUJI huts are spacious enough for four people to comfortably relax in. architectural elements, such as its large window, porch and high shed roof, makes the area seem open with lots of natural light whilst cosy as a getaway destination. internally, the floor is fabricated as a raft foundation that offer heating and cleaning benefits, as well as a natural, earth-like feel for the users.

put it in the mountains, near the ocean, or in a garden, and it immediately blends in with the surroundings, inviting you to a whole new life,‘ states MUJI. its use of traditional craftwork of wood blends the cabin into the wilderness, especially with its expansive front window. the burned hardwood cladding offers both antiseptic properties and durability to withstand nature’s elements, whilst an oil stain finishes increases strength and provides a unique color. the interior walls are left bare, ready for the customer to either leave to totally fit the minimalist theme or paint as they wish.
