casco parque mexico: a community hub in puebla

Situated in a rapidly growing residential area of Puebla, Casco Parque Mexico stands as a newly designed clubhouse by architecture studio mxTAD. The project serves as a hub for communal activities and leisure, and sets a benchmark for future residences in the area.

The project strategically positions itself at the heart of the complex, while also acting as a prominent visual reference point from the cluster’s entrance. Leveraging the existing topography, the building ingeniously incorporates natural barriers to preserve privacy within its spaces. The ground floor, located half a level below street level, features a garden, children’s area, common room, and a swimming pool. The more secluded upper floor offers a small gym, a co-working space, and a contemplative terrace that provides breathtaking views of the surroundings.

mxtad Inspired by Mexican Modernist Architecture

Casco Parque Mexico aims to be an iconic structure within the growing ‘Parque Mexico’ development, and has been designed by the architects at mxTAD with inspiration from Mexican modernist architectural heritage. The design employs simple intersecting volumes that form planes, creating an interaction between solid and void elements. This fusion of architectural elements, coupled with the use of natural materials and vibrant colors, not only gives the building its unique identity but also imparts a distinctive character to the entire complex.

harmony with materials and color

Warm-colored rustic plasters dominate the project, harmoniously blending with the natural stones and light wood utilized throughout the building. These elements work in tandem to evoke a serene and disconnected ambiance within the space. The thoughtful selection of colorful plants — displaying an array of colors, foliage, and flower types — further enhances the building’s allure. Designed to flourish around the structure over time, these plants contribute to the ever-evolving aesthetic. Among the most celebrated spaces within the project is the pool terrace, where the elements of water, native cacti, and the surrounding natural environment converge, captivating visitors and residents alike.
