danish firm nord architects have designed ‘bananna park’ an urban space in norrebro, denmark. the neighbourhood renewal project asked nord to create a master plan for the park. nord’s proposal is divided into three zones supporting different everyday usages. ‘the jungle’ is equipped with greenery and facilities for play and ‘the square’ with a more urban content, whereas all furniture on ‘the lawn’ is pushed aside to create as much space as possible. the banana is integrated in the lawn section, where it rises from the ground.
