paris-based studio NZI architectes has designed three buildings comprising various apartment typologies in a district undergoing deep renewal. with the presence of shops on the ground floor, the urban complex features a mix of functions and thus offers the territory a varied response, better adapted to the diverse needs of the population.

the morphology of the buildings responds to a system taking up the rhythm and the frame of the existing elements. at the ground floor of the black metal buildings, NZI has designed a large porch crossing in continuity with the fault and an entrance hall that opens directly onto a green patio. the brick building’s entrance porch is in a visual breakthrough on all its depth — the building is more compact than the other two, responding to the urban logic.

the typological breakdown offers 75% of large dwellings with a total of 31 dwellings. the large homes are precisely designed and all have a generous outdoor extension to the south or west in extended stays. half of the bathrooms are enlightened naturally; the living rooms and kitchens are largely open on green spaces, participating in the environmental and landscape requirement of the project.
