located in a park-like open space in tiel, the netherlands, the residential facility by amsterdam-based firm OIII architects provides housing for 34 seniors. the design aims to facilitate social interaction while still creating a private atmosphere for the individual.

the entrance is off the concave side of the curved building where horizontal concrete elements extend out to provide coverage. the private terraces that line the same side of the building are linked, which not only facilitates social interchange between neighbours but creates a continuous and harmonious look to the exterior. the units are off set in a sawtooth manner on the convex side to provide an unbroken view of the park for each resident.
