once again OMA set the pavilion of furniture brand knoll at salone del mobile in milan. for this year’s installation, rem koolhaas’ studio has drawn inspiration from the unique minimalist design of marcel breuer for the whitney museum of american art in new york and features a replica of suspended ceiling he designed for the museum.

to highlight the concept of knoll collection’s variety, OMA used a lot of different materials with different characteristics — tactile and solid, organic and artificial. the studio applied linear exposition for exhibiting the renowned icons of knoll’s design, while the new products of the brand were the centerpieces of the exhibition.
