the lisbon-based pedra silva architects have designed the care implant dentistry located in a prominent neighborhood in sydney, the clinic is characterized by a distinct timber feature which protrudes from the ceiling as gradual undulating layers at different heights. visible from the the outside, it not only adds an interesting decorative element, but also acts as a filter dividing the space with two receptions. this strategy allows the foyer to be defined into two definitive waiting areas- one for general dentistry and the other for dental implant practice. along with their separate entrance routes, the entrance is therefore a more light and open space without the need of enclosing the two sections.

internally, the organization starts with a long corridor that cuts through and becomes the anchor to where the remaining rooms are arranged, this includes areas for examination, surgery and clients. meanwhile, continuing with the theme of openess, glass walls have been used to allow for the maximum penetration of natural light even in the main surgery theatre to enable colleagues to experience and learn. which at the same time, adds to the white, sterile environment.
