the residential building designed by parisian firm peripheriques architectes combines both social housing and private units. situated between fremicourt street and boulevard de grenelle in paris, the structure’s orientation connects to neighboring gardens and helps to achieve a low energy consumption. on the boulevard side the mass is nine-levels high, while on the street it extends up to ten levels. the south facing rooms have outdoor balconies with pleasant views to the cityscape and adapting to the context’s constraints, creased façades delineate various openings. exterior walls have been treated in horizontal sheathing elements, incorporating the use of glass, anodized aluminum and wood in the garden part and finally enameled terracotta.
