munich-based office peter ebner and friends have completed the ‘housing at welfenstrabe’, a residential block in the haidhausen district of munich, germany. part of a larger scheme, this pair of six-storey tall buildings are mirrored across a courtyard. flanked by buildings with two kindergartens, office and commercial space to create atertiary scheme. differing from its neighbors, rhombic balconies generate a pleated elevation.


ground level units border a green area, opening the living spaces to the collective garden where children can play with their mothers.long lines of operable windows accentuate horizontal lines while raised parapet walls offer integrated screening for privacy to interior rooms.
