‘prototyping the city’ is an international summer school workshop held between politecnico di torino and columbia university. architecture students were given the brief to design and construct an exhibition desk for the ‘designing connected places in torino’ exhibition, using prototyping methods to develop 1:1 models. the idea is to show that rapid prototyping can be used creatively, not just in industrial design. 35 students from around the world will participate.
