based on the world-famous red shoe-box, the new ‘puma vision headquarters’ in herzogenaurach designed by german architect klaus krex, represents the brand and its logo. alongside the offices, the site consists of three buildings – including a ‘brand centre’. the development consists of an in-house conference centre, multimedia hall and numerous conference rooms. the leading sports life-style company, known for its footwear, clothing and accessories, also built a large retail building with a red alucobond façade. this uniquely designed structure contains an outlet store, merchandising centre and a restaurant.

the site’s ecological impact played an important role in the design development – all three buildings are heated or cooled in an environmentally efficient manner with modern, concrete core temperature control. in addition, there is a large photovoltaic system on the roof of the retail building as well as photovoltaic elements integrated into the alucobond façade on the south side of the building. the creation of an attractive working space was a key driver and the modern stylish atmosphere is an expression of puma’s philosophy.
