PVWB studio designs ‘vibhavadi 41 house,’ a new house away from the city, serving as a place providing users relaxation and time to appreciate the surroundings. the project seeks to enhance the relationship of the residences with the environment emphasizing the beauty of the trees, sunlight, wind, and birds chirping.PVWB studio introduces nature into thai residence using corridors + voids

vibhavadi 41 house features two main courtyards. the arrival courtyard functions as a welcoming area for guests, relatives, and friends and includes a large freeform koi(fish) pond. furthermore, this zone contains a guest living area filled with various trees, a living room, and a dining room area.PVWB studio introduces nature into thai residence using corridors + voids

the second one serves as a private area surrounded by a corridor leading to bedrooms, parlor, and offices. here, the family can be at ease and enjoy the view of its favorite big trees set within. meanwhile, a 25 meters long pool connects the two courtyards passing through the house, creating at the same time various shades from sunlight while swimming.PVWB studio introduces nature into thai residence using corridors + voids

the first-floor wall is covered mostly with textured gray bricks by reversing the normal brick’s surface. this way they show the corrugated pattern in order to create more depth to the wall plane. furthermore, this wall stands to provide ventilation by inserting the steel wind block which is simplified from a brick outline at different positions of the wall, allowing the wind to break through at all times.

‘we have brought the preferences of the two owners which is completely opposite such as rough-smooth texture or black-white color,’ say the architects.PVWB studio introduces nature into thai residence using corridors + voidsvibhavadi 41 houses masoned with reverse surface bricks to create a sequence of access to nature inside 3PVWB studio introduces nature into thai residence using corridors + voidsPVWB studio introduces nature into thai residence using corridors + voidsPVWB studio introduces nature into thai residence using corridors + voids
