david chipperfield’s winning design for the ‘morland’ site, extends and opens up the existing structure, which was finalized in 1964 as a city administration building. once complete, the two top floors will integrate an inhabitable artistic installation designed by olafur eliasson’s studio other spaces that will house a bar and restaurant. located in paris’ 4th arrondissement, the redeveloped complex will contain a mixed-use program including housing, a youth hostel, hotel facilities, offices, retail outlets, and a food market.

a towering project by DGT architects promotes a sustainable agricultural cycle, serving as a platform for advanced research through art and culture. across various levels, ramps form a transversal link connecting a host of amenities and attractions. the development is topped with a roof garden that allows the planting of vegetables, while educational workshops enable users to share and learn new ecological methods. an interactive canteen sells food and drink obtained from local sources, with a market that allows vendors to distribute the organic produce.
