the studio identified bamboo as the most common material following extended research on traditional sichuan cuisine and culture, which it used in the restaurant in a contemporary manner. the bamboo weaving stretches across the space complemented by dim lighting and concrete furnishings. inviting bamboo artists to weave the piece on site, the studio aimed to create a unique atmosphere where folk art and modern culture will coexist both in the restaurant’s cuisine and design.
