STD Design Consultant unveils Aqua Jardin wedding venue

Aqua Jardin, conceived by STD Design Consultant, unveils a 1500 sqm wedding venue in Binh Thanh, Hochiminh City, Vietnam. Characterized by vibrant green colored wooden panels interwoven with a curvilinear facade the structure reminisces of flowing water. Situated in a region known for its sweltering climate, the design prioritizes natural ventilation and shade, acknowledging the significance of these elements in hot environments. The strategic placement of trees within the structure serves to regulate temperatures and foster a closer connection to nature for clients.

Painted in a light green hue, the building stands out amidst its urban surroundings, offering a refreshing visual contrast to the predominantly concrete landscape. The incorporation of greenery not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also contributes to improved mood and reduced stress levels, particularly in an urban setting.

Operating within budget constraints necessitates architectural ingenuity to ensure quality construction. By repurposing existing structures, the project minimizes financial investment while simultaneously offering affordable wedding venue options for low-income residents of Ho Chi Minh City. This approach underscores the architects’ commitment to upgrading existing buildings rather than resorting to demolition and reconstruction.

STD Design’s Aqua Jardin repurposes existing structural elements

Preservation of structural integrity is important to STD Design Consultant, with all architectural elements stabilized before being enveloped in a facade crafted from reused composite materials. This sustainable practice not only minimizes waste but also exemplifies the potential for innovative reuse of construction materials.

The curvilinear form of the building, accentuated by its light green exterior, harmonizes effortlessly with the natural landscape, blurring the boundaries between built and natural environments. Embracing natural, eco-friendly materials and sustainable building practices, Aqua Jardin embodies a commitment to environmental responsibility and design innovation. ‘We envision this place as a balance between the concepts of Aqua and Jardin,’ shares the architect.
