RMJM architects have developed a new luxury ‘green’ hotel in the sogutozu district for the city of ankara. located on a 14,000m² site, the hotel brings a new standard in sustainable design to turkey – vertical stone fins protect the east and west façades from the heat of the sun and advanced curtain wall technologies further reduce solar gain.

the hotel consists of  more than 400 guest rooms and four floors of space dedicated to meeting facilities, restaurants and shops. other areas include an upscale bistro on the ground level along with three other specialty restaurants. an executive lounge will be located on the top of the hotel tower with sweeping views of ankara. an outdoor wedding venue will be located on the terrace directly above the main 1,500m² ball room. a health centre and spa will also be included in the new hotel with indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

the hotel is due for completion in october 2010.
